Morgan Hunt is working on an exciting Procurement Contract based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire top start on Tuesday 5th May 2015.The successful Procurement Officer will engage in a 14 month contract with possibility of extension.This is a full time role working 8.45am - 5.15pm Monday to Friday.The purpose of the role is to advise, influence and assist senior managers to explore alternative ways of procuring business needs and leading where applicable, in the procurement process ensuring the most economic and effective means of service delivery. To support in the realisation of efficiency savings and ensuring that the organisation complies with all relevant UK and EU procurement legislation and best practice.To work with the Procurement Manager in the development, management and the delivery of a high quality and responsive procurement service.DUTIES TO INCLUDEDevelop, support and encourage Service Areas to engage in procurement activity and to take the lead in the procurement exercises. Understand and provide appropriate advice to the specific business area needs. Actively utilise procurement tools and support and encourage good contract management. Work closely with Heads of Service to agree the impact on resources and obtain agreement to use the officers in the delivery of the procurement project. Identify and produce savings in the delivering of services within the organisational and where applicable report any changes in contract rates / costs to AccountancyPrepare tender / quotation documentation, manage the tender process, evaluate information, present findings and recommend outcomes.
