St.Andrew’s Clinics for Children

Morgan Hunt has been supporting The St.Andrew’s Clinics for Children for over a decade. The charity supports basic primary health care for children and mothers and has clinics in Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Uganda, Zanzibar, Kenya and Ghana. In the UK the Under Five Mortality Rate is 6 deaths per 1000 live births, but in some of these countries, the U5MR can be as high as 262. The six clinics provide free health care which is planned and delivered by locally empowered and nationally registered teams. They rely on the St.Andrew’s Clinics for Children for funds to buy medicines, supplies, petrol, to purchase and maintain vehicles and to pay wages.

“As a member of STACC’s Board of Directors, I am much involved in appealing for funds to provide free health care for many poor children. The Board is most grateful for the generous financial support of Morgan Hunt and the commitment of its staff to help make life better for children in Africa.” David Crompton, Director STACC, October 2010.
Morgan Hunt has brought the charities efforts right to the fore-front of employee’s minds. In November 2010, two fortunate Morgan Hunt representatives who took part in our Pennies from Heaven scheme flew out to Zanzibar to witness and carry out the excellent work that the charity does. The trip was a distinct success and has further strengthened our ties with the charity in supporting and committing to their objectives.
