Our services include temporary hostel accommodation for single people and families; supported housing for people with mental ill-health or learning difficulties; accommodation for single young people including those coming out of care; specialist outreach and floating support services including our specialist Tenancy Sustainment Team, Intensive Community Support Scheme and Crisis Support Service. team leader - based in east and west london - salary £24,000 - £27,000
With experience of supporting a range of vulnerable clients to include those with mental health and substance misuse problems, you will be given the opportunity to learn and develop the skills required to lead a team of 4 support workers. You will manage a caseload of your own and be involved in conducting joint key-working sessions for more complex cases. Your role will involve motivating the staff team and ensuring that full support is provided to service users. You will be experienced in working within the Supporting People framework and ensure that the work of your team fits into the guidelines set out by Supporting People.
The ideal candidate does not necessarily need to have previous management experience, but they do need to be able to demonstrate the aptitude to take on a more senior role. They will need to show the ability to see things from a management perspective and evidence strong leadership skills when interviewing for this position. Strong support experience and a good understanding of Supporting People legislation are essential. This is an ideal role for somebody with a passion for the supported housing sector and the desire to progress their career.
