Morgan Hunt is working with a national provider who supports people struggling with substance misuse and crime.

We are currently looking for a number of DIP (Drug Intervention Programme) Workers to support substance misusers identified within the Criminal Justice setting.

Main duties would include:

* Supporting substance users and helping them access substance misuse services.
* Support individuals when they are distressed
* Carrying out assessments and develop and implement care plans
* Assess and act upon immediate risk of danger to substance users
* Refer individuals for treatment and community support where application.
* Prevention and management of abusive and aggressive behaviour.
* Raise awareness and providing advice on drug /alcohol issues, their use and effects and health and social functioning.
* Help individuals address their offending behaviour.
* Enable individuals to access housing and accommodation.
* Assist individuals to plan for future employment, training and education.

Understanding of the Criminal Justice System and previous experience in a similar role is essential.
Due to the nature of these roles applicants must have a full license, own vehicle and an enhanced CRB completed in the last year.
