Details:
Morgan Hunt is currently working on behalf of a leading provider of services for people experiencing drug misuse problems.
We are currently looking for a number of Specialist Drug Workers to join a busy team in West Yorkshire to carry a large case load of service users and provide support and intervention around individual support issues.
Main duties include:
* Carrying out comprehensive assessments with service users
* Supporting the assessment of parents/carers of adult drug users, and ensuring the inclusion of their needs in the care plans.
* Maintain and build working relationships with staff in other agencies
* Provide services to those affected by someone else's substance use
* Counsel individuals about their substance use using recognised theoretical models
* Raise awareness about substances, their use and effects
* Providing advice on Harm Reduction.
* Dealing with triage
* Undertaking key-working sessions
* Inputting data onto the system
* Maintaining client management systems and computer database.
* Escorting to appointments as required
The successful applicants will have previous experience working in a similar role with the ability to deal with heavy case loads.
Ideally you will have sound relevant knowledge and experience and a relevant NVQ 3, equivalent qualification or the willingness to work towards one.
Due to the role involving working with vulnerable service users it is essential that any prospective candidate has an enhanced CRB disclosure carried out in the last 12 months and access to a vehicle.
