Job description
Morgan hunt have partnered up with a leading housing charity for a current opportunity of an Assessment and Pathway Worker and a Night Assessment and Pathway Worker on a full-time, permanent basis. The position will be based in Waltham Forest.
This role include the generic responsibilities of Support Worker however having the right attributes, ethics and values is extremely important to the organisation:
Applicant should have experience and an understanding of rough sleeping, anti-social behaviour, substance misuse and homelessness.
Main duties
- To report to the Project Manager for the day to day delivery of the project
- To work closely with other involved providers such as Local Authority
- Ensure that bed spaces are maximised and the most vulnerable clients are able to engage with the service
- To ensure that Health and Safety requirements are met at all times within the Assessment Bed Project and all repairs or concerns are reported accordingly
Client Work:
- Carry out initial assessment, ensuring that criteria is met and any risk management support plans are in place
- To work closely with clients to explain the role of the service, the benefits of the project and the pathways available
- To provide personalised case management and support and advice to all clients, building action plans with the clients that support their needs and aid their resettlement
If you are interested in the night post, your duties would include:
- Carrying out patrols of the internal and external parts of the building, reporting any concerns
- Monitoring entry to and exit from the building
- Providing care and support to clients during the night hours, maintaining contact with the most vulnerable on a regular basis
- Record and deal with all incidents of Anti-Social Behaviour
