Morgan Hunt currently requires a Business Information Analyst for NHS based in West London/ Uxbridge
Pay Rate: £20ph PAYE or 24ph Ltd
Hours: 37.5 hrs Mon to Fri

Job summary
The candidate has a primary responsibility of meeting the Community Services reporting requirements which include CCG contractual reports, divisional performance reports, and statutory returns as per the departments reporting schedule.
The role will also include managing ad hoc information requests from stakeholders and providing specialised information analysis and expertise to senior clinical and managerial colleagues.
The candidate will work closely with the Business Intelligence developers contributing to the on-going creation, development, testing and maintenance of a comprehensive range of reporting and BI reports that support clinicians and management in the delivery of clinical services and service improvement.
Flexible working hours to meet the demands of the post, including working a rota to cover submission of returns on weekends/bank holidays as necessary
Key Result Areas & Performance
Information Analysis and Provision
Responsible for the development, preparation and provision of high quality and timely information reports which reflect the CSU performance and operational issues as per the reporting schedule.
Analyse Trust data sources to provide high level analysis, interpretation, synthesis and presentation of information reports to meet specific objectives and ensure managers are advised of any potential problem areas; the information to be presented in a clear and concise manner, and where appropriate to recommend solutions.
Contribute to development and design of internal reports and external reports. Ensure published guidance and reporting specifications are adhered to and provide specialist knowledge.
Understand and interpret complex ad hoc requests and respond appropriately to tight deadlines. This entails the analysis, investigation and resolution of complex information issues
Analyse local and national benchmarking data to identify data quality issues, trends over time ensuring large changes are investigated i.e. Statutory NHS submissions i.e. CCG returns and performance, escalating any variance or data quality issues identified and potential reasons.
To ensure all data extracted from information systems balances back to core applications and to support and lead any necessary corrective actions.
Demonstrate an understanding of the business of the CSU and its drivers and deliverables.
To take lead in Service Line Performance Clinics and obtain up to date information for monthly and year end projections.
To prepare monthly reports for the Senior Management Team (SMT) and attend the SMT meeting on a monthly basis and present up to date performance and KPI information.
To correctly prioritise and plan own workload and deciding when advice or assistance is needed from the line manager. Giving line manager sufficient notice to plan for peak levels of activity.
Ensure consistency of data standards for data are applied and supports the implementation of new or changed data standards or reporting requirements.
To be the CSU expert on data standards and definitions using specialist knowledge of the service and guidance provided by the central Business Intelligence Team.
Provides necessary information as and when required to the Central Informatics Team to meet Trust wide reporting and statutory requirements.
Undertake an annual review and audit of procedures and analysis relating to routine reports and the quality of information therein for the CSU.
Understand and interpret ad-hoc requests and respond appropriately and ensure routine and ad-hoc requests are checked prior being sent to recipient.
To keep abreast of reporting developments and the business strategy of the 5 LS
service lines and the wider Trust.
