Centre Administrator

Fixed-Term Contract

Brixton, London

£18,000 - £20,000

09:00am - 17:00pm (flexibility is required)

Morgan Hunt are working with an exciting training provider who are currently recruiting for a Centre Administrator to join their growing team on a fixed-term basis. The role will be based fully on site in Brixton with potential to work from home in the future.

Main Duties:

Some of your main duties as a Centre Administrator will include:

  • Generate or revise word processing, spreadsheets or presentation documents in an efficient and accurate manner
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the flow of information by the collection and distribution of mail, internal/external or other media to and from the Organisation.
  • Ensure cover of the organisation telephone system and to make or receive telephone calls in a professional manner
  • To undertake any photocopying or printing requests
  • To support learner enrolment, initial assessment, and induction
  • Input data onto the Organisation Student Record System (PICS) as directed by the Operations Director, Head of Curriculum or MIS Manager or Admin Manager. Data entry includes, but it is not limited to: Notification to Admissions, Timetable amendments and updates, Entry and amendments to student records and Student withdrawals and termination
  • To provide an efficient admissions and course information service ensuring that all applicants receive comprehensive, impartial, accurate and user-cantered information.
  • Assist with student interviews and inductions
  • Provide accurate and timely administrative support for programmes in accordance with ACL requirements to ensure the allocation of associated funding.
  • To liaise with curriculum and support staff and use tracking and MIS systems in place to identify problems of learner attendance, poor punctuality, and retention
  • Undertake departmental ordering and receipting in accordance with the Organisations Financial Regulation
  • Carry out invigilation duties as and when required
  • Provide a helpful, professional, and flexible service to internal or external customers
  • To participate in and take responsibility for your own learning and development
  • To provide cover or support for other members of your team and undertake any other duties required by your line manager. This includes attending outreach and employer premises if required.

Requirements:

  • Office Administrative background preferably within Education
  • Working knowledge of Management Information Systems
  • Computer Literate with good IT skills and competent in using Word, Excel, Outlook etc
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with staff, students, and members of the public at all levels
  • Provide courteous and effective customer service
  • Understand and interpret numerical and statistical information
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Well organised and have a systematic approach to administrative functions
  • Take initiative and a solution orientated approach when resolving queries and problems.
  • Communicate and work effectively with others to embed process changes
  • To manage and prioritise own workload to ensure deadlines are met
  • Evidence of commitment to own continuous professional development. (for example, completing your CIPD)
  • To maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Professional, friendly, and flexible approach to work
  • Ability and willingness to participate in and travel and work at all main site e.g. enrolment and open days.

Please note: if you are successful for the position of Centre Administrator, a DBS check will be required.
