Data Analyst - PowerBI

Client
My client is a Local Government organisation who are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to Undertake, support and conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of data from a variety of sources, producing reports and dashboards to inform business decisions.
Your Day to Day Roles & Responsibilities -
- The analyst will build and maintain data reports and dashboards; primarily in a PowerBI environment.
- Assess or conduct analysis of council owned and other data, presenting results and putting forward recommendations based on insight and data intelligence; including complex situations to support decision making.
- Maintain, develop and review systems, processes, procedures and working methods to maximise service quality, efficiency and compliance. Provide specialist/professional advice and recommendations within specific parameters to support informed decision making.

What you need to be successful -
- Experience in using Business Intelligence tools; preferably PowerBI with good working knowledge of DAX and power Query.
- Significant experience of manipulating and interpreting multiple sets of raw data, data modelling and providing effective analysis and recommendations based on this.
- Familiar with tools and techniques (manual or automated) which can be used to document an understanding of the structure, relationships and use of information within an organization
- Familiarity with SQL, and scripting in R/Python or willingness to learn as necessary.
