Commerce Manager (Contracts & SRM Management)

Morgan Hunt is currently working with a Children Charity, in their search for a fully remote Commerce Manager (Contracts & Supplier Relationship Management). In short, the purpose of the role Is to assess and enhance fulfilment practices, including audits, stock management, and research, to increase efficiency and save costs. This role presents a valuable opportunity to develop skills in procurement, contracts, and fund raising within a leading sector.

The day to day will encompass assessing and enhancing their fund raising fulfilment and supporter engagement processes, along with supplier contracts, SLAs, and KPIs. Providing future-focused requirement gathering and recommend improvements to meet the Charities needs from fulfilment contracts. Maximising efficiency and effectiveness in supporter fulfilment operations, integrating planning, warehousing, delivery, and fulfilment practices for optimisation. Emphasising ethical and sustainable procurement in the supply chain.

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract 18 Months

Hours: 35 hours per week

Role Purpose / Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial assessment of fund raising fulfilment, focusing on materials, contracts, stock, processes, KPIs, audience needs, and cost-effectiveness. Identify issues and waste.
• Gather future requirements and research solutions for supporter fulfilment and engagement.
• Assess contract management quality for Income Generation's fulfilment suppliers and enhance standards when needed.
• Use innovative thinking and research to recommend solutions that enhance fulfilment practices, reduce costs, and improve fund raising.
• Champion ethical and sustainable procurement in the supply chain.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and engage them through various communication methods.
• Maximise income from supporters while preserving ethos, identifying value improvement opportunities.
• Act as a business partner for the Procurement team, maintaining correct processes and practices.
• Maintain commercial confidentiality, exercise discretion with sensitive information, and ensure legal compliance throughout the supply chain, focusing on GDPR.
• Support or lead supplier relationship management and conduct due diligence on potential suppliers and partners.

1. Proven experience in delivering high-quality fulfilment solutions within a complex organisation.
2. Expertise in warehousing and logistics metrics, including inventory management and cost-effective operations.
3. Innovative problem-solving and research skills to achieve desired outcomes.
4. Track record of leading and delivering change improvement projects within tight deadlines.
5. Excellent communication, making complex information clear for diverse audiences.
6. Strong relationship-building skills to achieve objectives both internally and externally.
7. Expertise in numeracy and analytics for goal achievement.
8. Deep GDPR knowledge and its impact on data quality and usage.
9. Effective organisation, prioritisation, and meeting challenging KPIs.
