Platform / Environment Manager

Morgan Hunt is working with a leading Not-for-Profit organisation who are based in London and are looking for a Platform Manager on a permanent basis. This specialist technical role will lead the design, management and ownership of all the on-premise and cloud based technology platforms and environment that will support all current and future enterprise systems and solutions ensuring optimum performance in alignment with project and live production running requirements in line with platform strategy.



The role:

• Strategic technical leadership by defining, owning and managing a detailed environments roadmap that covers capacity, licensing, security and ensuring the configuration and code is migrated in each environment.
• Building a roadmap for the business' Azure and on-premise infrastructure platforms via development and introduction of new technologies.
• Develop/implement architectural standards for Azure infrastructure platforms for use by technology users and the wider business in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture.
• Lead the delivery of new environments - including code, refreshes, role access.
• Collaborate with Architecture and technical Subject Matter Experts in a forum to ensure platforms with preferred technologies are in line with IT strategy and ensure architecture integrity of the platform.
• Manage our Dynamics product and licensing model, defining vision, setting and communicating product strategy and roadmap, leading implementation and assuring that an appropriate support model is in place.
• Defining non-functional product roadmaps by engaging with key stakeholders, senior business leaders and programme managers.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Extensive industry experience in hybrid platforms in both traditional on-premise and cloud-based environments. (Azure highly preferred)
• Experience in building expertise across the Microsoft 365 platform including Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power Platform, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, DevOps and Azure AD, Azure Service Bus, NServiceBus, Windows and SQL.
• Industry experience of working in a multi-tier enterprise environment including Saas, PaaS, IaaS. E.g. Office365, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Azure.
• Architecture with responsibility for delivering large scale, sophisticated technical solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Demonstrable breadth of knowledge of the cloud marketplace and ability to identify technical solutions (Azure).
• Understanding of IT/Cloud/IaaS, PaaS, and Enterprise architecture discipline.
• Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team incorporating frameworks such as Technical Design Authority (TDA), Change Advisory Board (CAB), Enterprise Architecture.
• An understanding of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks such as Togaf.
• ITIL Intermediate certificate or equivalent experience.
• Experience of Incident, Problem and Change management processes and the tracking of such using ITSM software tools.

• £56,000-60,000 DOE
• London based
• Hybrid working - 2 days a week in the office
• 7% pension 14% contribution
