Morgan Hunt are currently working with a Non-Profit Organisation in their search for a permanent Risk & Assurance Lead to join their growing Business Assurance Team to help deliver on the Business Assurance and Risk Management ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory policies.

You will be responsible for Business Assurance, Risk Management, Data Protection and Policies and will ideally have significant experience in each of these categories.

In addition, you will also be required to support the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in ensuring that the organisation complies with GDPR 2018 and Data Protection Act 2018.

The successful candidate will be someone with strong written, communication and interpersonal skills. You must also have a flexible approach to managing and prioritising a high workload and multiple complex issues and tasks in a changing environment with tight deadlines.

Job Title: Risk & Assurance Lead

Location: Birkenhead (Wirral)

Annual Salary: £44,000 £48,000 (plus excellent benefits)

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the delivery of the Risk Management and Business Assurance programme ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, internal policies and procedures
  • Help ensure the effective operation of risk management and reporting practices at all levels of the organisation
  • Maintain accurate and effective records which demonstrate accountability and compliance with Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR principles including but not limited to administering Data Subject Access Requests and Data Protection Impact Assessments
  • Directing and overseeing the Policy process, providing support to Policy owners in guiding them through each stage of the process through to approval.

Person Specification

  • Experience in completing assurance and risk management activities at a similar organisation
  • Must have experience in developing, monitoring and overseeing complex Policy environments
  • Good working knowledge of compliance with Data Protection legislation including GDPR
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and consultative skills and experience of working constructively and collaboratively with colleagues at all levels across multi-disciplined teams
  • Must have a flexible approach to managing and prioritising a high workload and multiple complex issues and tasks in a changing environment with tight deadlines
  • Must have excellent written and spoken English, with strong report writing skills and experience.

    • Achieve set chargeable hours and financial targets
    • Comply with Data Protection Procedures

    About You

    Ideally, you will have some experience of dealing with motor/litigated claims and a genuine interest in the above area of work. As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks. It would be preferable for you to have:

    • Experience of handling/assisting a case load of litigated motor files, within the small claims and fast track, preferably as a Defendant
    • Knowledge of CPR
    • Ability to work to meet deadlines and hit targets
    • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
    • Excellent communication skills

  • Marketing - Bid Manager

    About your new role

    Our Marketing team is made up of many teams that work together to support Weightmans' marketing processes. The teams include: business development; communications; CRM; events; profile raising; and projects.

     

    Primary objectives

    • Work with the Bids Team to support, develop and implement all necessary bid procedures, governance and processes.
    • Work with the Bids Team to deliver high quality documents and presentations with the end result to contribute effectively to the Bids Team Target win rate, bid margin and achievement of internal SLAs.
    • Support the Bids Team and Partners across the firm to contribute to the overall financial objectives of the firm.

    Key responsibilities

     

    • Manage the end-to-end bid process on appropriately sized bids (supported by Bid Managers)
    • Work to support the Bid Managers on larger scale bids
    • Develop a strong network internally, engaging with Client Relationship Partners (CRPs), product teams, finance and Operations Teams to deliver quality bid content.
    • Work within the Bid Managers and the CRP to develop a clear win strategy for each bid and ensure win themes are clear and compelling.
    • Contribute to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation (such as providing guidance around the executive summary).
    • Own and administer the RFPIO bid library to ensure the material is up to date and appropriately filed for ease and clarity of use.
    • Ensure timescales are achieved at each step of the bid process, including all internal governance, while taking the initiative in setting realistic deadlines.
    • Ensure on-time submission of compliant and commercially sound bids.
    • Co-ordinate and plan all client presentations required as part of the bid submission.
    • Drive continuous improvement, through post-bid reviews, both internally and with client organisations.
    • Own and administer the tracking of new bid opportunities in InterAction and keeping the bids watchlist up to date.
    • Support Bid Managers with the bids dashboard to track all bids and monitor feedback, helping Bid Managers to produce regular reports.
    • Assist with ad hoc business development & marketing projects that may require additional resource.
