Morgan Hunt are looking for a Financial Accountant to work within a well-known Charity based in London. They are looking for a Financial Accountant to manage Financial operations, this will be a Permanent role paying £45,217 - £58,167. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting or a related field and experience working in a Finance or accounting. Key Responsibilities of a Financial Accountant:

• Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and budgets for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor and analyse financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular internal audits to assess financial controls and identify areas of risk or opportunity.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Support grant applications and reporting, ensuring compliance with funding guidelines.
• Provide financial guidance and support to project managers, program directors, and other stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasting activities.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, accounting standards, and emerging trends in the non-profit sector.

Qualifications and Skills of a Financial Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role, preferably in the non-profit sector.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytic skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
