Job description
Morgan Hunt are currently working with a leading FE College based in London who are currently seeking to appoint a Horticulture Assessor. The Horticulture Assessor will need to hold a Level 3 Assessor award, NVQ Level 3 in Horticulture and industry experience. The Horticulture Assessor will take responsibility for the assessment of cohorts of horticulture apprentices studying at the College. Under the management of the Team Leader for the scheme, the post holder will deliver centre based learning programmes and conduct workplace assessment visits across Greater London. This is a full time temporary position for 3 months.
The Horticulture Assessor will be responsible for:
- Teaching groups of apprentices following the course timetable and design and prepare learning materials for lessons
- Track and mark apprentice coursework using the college e-portfolio system
- Assisting apprentices in preparing individual action plans
- Prepare and conduct workplace reviews and assessments
The Horticulture Assessor will need to have: - A level 3 qualification in Horticulture
- Teaching/Assessing qualification or willingness to achieve (support will be given to gain accreditation over a specified period.)
- Relevant industrial experience in the area concerned
