We are looking to appoint an Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) & School Liaison Officer who will support in raising awareness of Newham College post-16 education offer to students in key feeder schools within the catchment area this will include T Levels and Higher Technical Qualifications. You will attend school careers events and organise taster activities, working closely with the careers team.
The successful postholder will deliver information and advice sessions to support the tutorial and enrichment programme. You will support careers events, transition and induction activities and prepare tutorial materials to help raise awareness of career pathways; a well support students who may be unsure of their chosen course during the first 6 weeks of starting and then during progression events in the Spring term.
We would love to hear from you if you have if you have level 5 IAG qualification and you have good experience of having positive relationship with young people and delivering individual and group Careers guidance sessions.

Specific vacancies are for an Electrician and a Multi Skills Lecturer to join our team, but we do welcome interest across all the sectors, as we may have short engagements for specific skill sets.
Full-time roles are an 8.30 - 4.30 pm day across five days, teaching approximately 23 hours. You will support the training and development of 16-19-year-olds and adults wishing to upskill. There is an aspect of course management for all Lecturers; you will ensure all learners attend well, complete their assessments and work hard to develop broader skills to be ready to go into appropriate employment opportunities or an apprenticeship.

About the role :
West London College is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Lecturer in English to join its team. The appointed candidate will be responsible for teaching GCSE English and Functional Skills. This role will include lesson preparation, classroom delivery and marking. The appointed candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to our learners and providing them with an outstanding experience. The post holder will also contribute to curriculum development within the department and will be actively involved in the recruitment, interviewing, selection and counselling of students.
The successful applicant will be an experienced educator with the ability to deliver English at GCSE level as well as Functional Skills. They will have experience in delivering innovative and creative teaching and learning and possess an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of curriculum delivery. The appointed candidate will have a passion for delivering student success and have the ability to use inspiring teaching methods and produce engaging teaching materials. Excellent English and Maths skills will be required along with a high level of IT competency.
To be eligible to apply for this role, you must possess the relevant qualifications listed in the person specification, this includes but is not limited to at least a level 2 qualification in Maths & English.
