Post: Procurement Manager
Reports to: Director of Finance
Hours per week: 37
Spine point: SCP 49 - £54,966
Location: Orpington, with some hybrid working
Context:
The College is looking to recruit a new important member of its management team in the role of Procurement Manager. The post is a key role supporting the Group Director of Finance in delivering the required procurement improvements and efficiencies for the College. The centralisation of some procurement functions is seen as an important first step in ensuring the future success of the College and for delivering sustainable value for money across all purchases.
Main Purpose:
To provide professional direction across the College defining and implementing an overarching procurement strategy that secures continuity of supply, optimal financial benefits and makes a significant contribution to the broader objectives including those relating to social value and sustainability.
The Procurement Manager will provide professional and executive procurement support to the college. The postholder will be responsible for leading on College tendering and procurement projects, embedding the procurement function throughout the organisation. In addition, the postholder will lead on negotiating contracts with suppliers and monitoring contract performance. The postholder will be responsible for the College procurement strategy, providing guidance, support and training to the wider College.

We have a fantastic new workspace with wide-ranging facilities, and all teams are supported by qualified Technicians.
Specific vacancies are for an Electrician and a Multi Skills Lecturer to join our team, but we do welcome interest across all the sectors, as we may have short engagements for specific skill sets.
Full-time roles are an 8.30 - 4.30 pm day across five days, teaching approximately 23 hours. You will support the training and development of 16-19-year-olds and adults wishing to upskill. There is an aspect of course management for all Lecturers; you will ensure all learners attend well, complete their assessments and work hard to develop broader skills to be ready to go into appropriate employment opportunities or an apprenticeship.
We have full-time and flexible job opportunities if you are a qualified tradesperson passionate about passing on your excellent knowledge, skills, and experiences. About the role :
West London College is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Lecturer in English to join its team. The appointed candidate will be responsible for teaching GCSE English and Functional Skills. This role will include lesson preparation, classroom delivery and marking. The appointed candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to our learners and providing them with an outstanding experience. The post holder will also contribute to curriculum development within the department and will be actively involved in the recruitment, interviewing, selection and counselling of students.
The successful applicant will be an experienced educator with the ability to deliver English at GCSE level as well as Functional Skills. They will have experience in delivering innovative and creative teaching and learning and possess an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of curriculum delivery. The appointed candidate will have a passion for delivering student success and have the ability to use inspiring teaching methods and produce engaging teaching materials. Excellent English and Maths skills will be required along with a high level of IT competency.
To be eligible to apply for this role, you must possess the relevant qualifications listed in the person specification, this includes but is not limited to at least a level 2 qualification in Maths & English.
