Job Title: Student welfare - Attendance Officer
Job Type: Temporary

Key responsibilities
- Calling students, parent/carers to promote good attendance and understand personal barriers that students might be facing.
- Support parents/carers to engage effectively with the College
- Complete accurate records of calls made.
- Ensure parent/carer contact details are up to date and the parent/carer contract is signed
- Respond to students' general queries about attendance and work submission.
- Establish productive working relationship with students, acting as a role model and setting high expectations of behaviour.
- Provide feedback to curriculum and support staff, making referrals for additional support where appropriate.
- Liaise with parents/carers, students and curriculum managers whilst applying the Student Attendance Monitoring processes.
- A range of administrative and support tasks to facilitate the engagement of students.
Skills & experience
- Enhanced DBS on the update service
- Relevant experience of working the role in an FE environment
- GCSE C grade or above in English and Maths
- At least one year's experience in providing administrative support in an office environment.
- Good IT skills in Word and Excel
