Are you a Housing Officer looking for work in Camden?
Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in Camden is looking to recruit a Housing Officer who will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality tenancy and leasehold services to our residents, including both general needs and sheltered housing tenants.
This temporary assignment will run for three months initially with a view to extend and has been deemed inside of IR35.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:
-Enable residents to hold sustainable tenancies by actively engaging them in decision-making processes and creating desirable neighbourhoods.
-Ensure tenants and leaseholders adhere to the terms of their tenancy/lease agreements and take appropriate actions to address any breaches.
-Identify and provide support to vulnerable residents, connecting them with support services and local resources.
-Lead tenancy update visits to enhance our understanding of the people and properties we manage.
-Manage a patch of tenancies, licenses, and leases, ensuring compliance with agreements and addressing breaches.
-Stay updated on relevant housing and leasehold legislation and apply this knowledge in your daily work.
-Identify and report fire safety issues, collaborating with the Estates & Fire Safety team to ensure safety and compliance.
-Collaborate with the Voids Manager to minimise rent loss and ensure efficient voids/re-letting processes
-Provide quality housing advice to residents, signposting them to partner agencies for additional services.
-Manage tenancy change applications, including succession and joint-tenancy requests, in compliance with policies and legislation.
-Take a lead on anti-social behaviour management, working with partners to resolve cases.
-Provide a sensitive and rapid response to domestic violence reports, supporting victims and taking tenancy actions as necessary.
-Serve notices and represent the department in court and at evictions when required.
-Establish strong relationships with tenant and resident association representatives and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
