Job Description

Morgan Hunt require an Electrical Team Leader for NHS based in East London

Pay Rate: £27ph to £32ph Ltd

Hours 37.5 8:00am to 4:30pm Mon to Fri

Location: South East London

Duration: 6 months on going contract

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader (Electrical) to manage the Estates Electrical team and specialist contractors at the Hospital. The ideal candidate should have an excellent engineering knowledge and management skills. The Team Leader will need to have good communication skills and technical knowledge for ensuring that the Estates service meets its statutory and mandatory obligations. Candidate will be expected to manage the resources to deliver high quality maintenance services delivered in an efficient and effective way.

Job Purpose

  • The candidate will undertake the supervision of the electrical department and contractors for the estates department to provide a service of planned preventative maintenance, servicing, repair, calibration, safety and acceptance testing on a wide range of engineering and electrical services including highly complex and critical plant and equipment.

  • To be responsible for Management of Health & Safety and Infection Control relevant to the staff and services provided and to ensure compliance with the Trust\'s own Health and Safety requirements, current legislation regarding the provision of Estates a& Facilities services e.g. COSHH, PUWER, HTM\'s, Hygiene, National Cleaning standards and Environmental Protection etc.

  • Responsible for the implementation of working practices to ensure the achievement of safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the Electrical services.

  • Responsible for the management and co-ordination and control of Contractors with in the areas of responsibility in line with the Trusts policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for compliance of services within the areas of responsibility to National guidance including, European and National standards, codes of practice and Health service specific guidance e.g. HTM\'s, HBN\'s and HFN\'s.

  • The candidate shall hold Authorised Person (AP) accreditations and perform AP Duties for which they are suitably experienced, trained or qualified and appointed.

  • The candidate will be part of the Estates Management on call arrangements Trust wide.

  • Act as Estates Management representative on site specific issues and project works.

  • Professional links are maintained across the Estates department and clinical departments and that the available resources are controlled and used in the most cost-effective way, maintain effective working relationships across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical disciplines within the Trust.

  • Monitoring and control of specific delegated budgets for areas of responsibility.

  • Assist the Energy Performance Contract (EPC) provider in identifying the savings opportunities by carrying out site inspections, energy surveys.

  • Provide the EPC provider with technical support on existing and new refurbishment projects regarding sustainability, energy and water conservation.

  • Assist in implementing the energy saving measures - Turnkey implementation of low-energy technologies including improved control systems, replacement HVAC equipment, lighting upgrades, renewable energy generation, fuel switching and energy awareness.

  • Responsible for the preparation of regular reports, including facts and recommendations to the Estate Operations Manager on plant status, energy efficiency, emergency situations, personnel issues, service failures, labour performance, progress on specific schemes, financial matters and any other items/subjects as might be required.

  • Responsible for the implementation of designated projects of installation/preparatory work to agreed costs and time scale/content.

You will work within a team which includes experienced social care managers and therapists as well as working with teaching staff to support the children’s engagement in education and wider school activities. You will play an active role in the school’s enrichment programme, delivering sessions which promote the development of the whole child.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    To work closely with the Head of Finance Information systems and Assistant Director of Finance to manage and maintain the financial ledger. To assist the Financial Systems team in the operation and development of the Trust\'s financial system, ensuring the financial integrity of the ledgers and maintaining appropriate system access and security.

    To assist in providing a helpdesk facility for all financial systems users across the Trust, providing advice, support, incident resolution and training as necessary.

    To manage and maintain the Trust\'s electronic staff expenses system.

    To manage junior members of the team within finance systems
