Building Safety Risk Manager

Permanent

Summary

Morgan Hunt are currently working with a leading social housing provider looking to recruit a Building Safety Risk Manager.

You will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our building safety standards and compliance with all relevant legislation, with a particular focus on high-risk buildings. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring our commitment to safety and regulatory requirements under the Building Safety Act 2022.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve Building Safety policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with current processes and legislation.
  • Regularly update, review, and submit Building Safety Case Reports and risk assessments to the Building Safety Regulator within specified timeframes.
  • Conduct building safety risk assessments for higher risk buildings, identifying potential hazards and safety risks.
  • Manage timely and effective responses to regulatory requests, deficiency notices, enforcement notices, and action plans related to Building Safety.
  • Assist in managing the Buildings Alterations and Permit to Work process for high-risk buildings, ensuring adherence to guidance, regulations, and the organisations requirements throughout the project life cycle.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations and advocate for their implementation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in building safety risk management practices based on lessons learned and industry advancements.
  • Collaborate with operational and the wider Building Safety teams to meet Key Performance targets, team objectives, and role-specific goals.
  • Attend resident meetings on building safety-related subjects.

About you

  • Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation and codes of practice concerning building and fire safety.
  • Working towards a recognised building surveying or risk assessor qualification or accreditation.
  • Experience in maintaining and analysing stock data within an asset database.
  • Experience in resident engagement and liaison.
  • Experience in managing high-profile activities in a changing environment.
  • A commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.
