Head of Fundraising

 

Job Description

Morgan Hunt is currently working with a Group of colleges based in South East London in search of a Head of Fundraising to develop and implement a Trusts and Foundations fundraising strategy.

The role is perfect for someone who has Trusts and Foundations background but also experience in other fundraising disciplines.

The role is offered on permanent basis with hybrid working from the South East London office and a salary of £45-£50k.

Key responsibilities of the new Head of Fundraising:

- Developing a fundraising strategy for Trusts and Foundations with a long term view for the organisation to maximise the income generated from the fundraising method.

- Work alongside the Group Chief Strategy Officer as well as internal teams such as marketing and communications in development of the fundraising function.

- Implement the fundraising strategy through fundraising campaigns, while working with internal stakeholders.

- Build the fundraising function, looking for new business as well as develop the ongoing long term relationships.

- Work towards expanding the fundraising function into other fundraising areas such as partnerships, major donors and events.

Previous experience of the Head of Fundraising:

- Experience working in Trusts and Foundations Fundraising

- Ability to write compelling and persuasive bids, based on data provided and collected.

- Previous experience developing a fundraising strategy

- Great stakeholder engagement skills, both internal and external. Ability to build long lasting relationships.

This role is perfect for someone who is looking for a challenge of significantly developing the organisations multi channel fundraising function. The role offers immediate start and pays £45-£50k p/a with 3 days a week from the office in South East London

    Main duties and responsibilities

    • Manage caseload effectively and efficiently
    • Initially review liability, quantum and Claimant Solicitor conduct before devising a strategy for continued handling;
    • Handle cases to conclusion including instructing investigators, posing Part 35 questions, instructing Counsel and making Part 36 offers;
    • Complete client and firm MI procedures
    • Comply with client SLAs, e-manual and local claims handling requirements
    • Achieve set chargeable hours and financial targets
    • Comply with Data Protection Procedures

    About You

    Ideally, you will have some experience of dealing with motor/litigated claims and a genuine interest in the above area of work. As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks. It would be preferable for you to have:

    • Experience of handling/assisting a case load of litigated motor files, within the small claims and fast track, preferably as a Defendant
    • Knowledge of CPR
    • Ability to work to meet deadlines and hit targets
    • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
    • Excellent communication skills
