Legacy Manager

Job description

Morgan Hunt is currently working with a large health care Charity based in London in search of a new Legacy Manager to take responsibility of the development and execution of legacy and in memoriam giving strategy.

This is a permanent role, working hybrid from the Farringdon office, paying 47,300 p/a.

Key responsibilities of the new Legacy Manager:

  • Develop an annual legacy and in memoriam marketing programme consisting of a range of campaigns including direct mail, telemarketing, online and events within an agreed budget.
  • Operationally manage all campaigns and appeals by setting out processes and ways of working to ensure that they are delivered throughout the year and managed effectively. This includes managing all internal and external relationships in the delivery of marketing and stewardship activity to meet set targets and KPI's
  • Working with a range of internal stakeholders and the communications team, develop and deliver an internal legacy and in memory marketing strategy and key messaging to drive the awareness of legacies and tribute giving and a positive reputation for the team across St John Ambulance
  • Develop appropriate systems and procedures to meet the statutory and organisational requirements and allow the legacy team to run effectively, being a go-to person for guidance on regulations in this area of fundraising.
  • Manage processes and policies that ensure legacy and in memoriam income is delivered in a timely manner.
  • Formulate and manage the annual expenditure of all legacy and in memoriam marketing campaigns and appeals, and contribute to the overall legacy and in memoriam marketing budget planning, working with internal finance business partners and legacy and in mem team.
  • Work with relevant agents to highlight key sector research and identify new opportunities for future development across Legacy and In Memoriam marketing and fundraising.
  • Ensure all organisational policies and procedures including data protection and charity law are adhered to

Previous experience and skills of the new Legacy Manager:

  • Extensive experience working in Legacy Giving Function
  • Experience working on Raiser's Edge or similar database
  • Experience line managing a team
  • Strategy development and implementation experience in a fundraising function

This role is offering an immediate start- interviews are held on the week commencing the 20h of November.
