Job description

Morgan Hunt are currently working with a UK Public Inquiry in their search for a temporary Paralegal (Relativity Lead) to support the Public Inquiry with a specialist focus around Relativity.

The successful post-holder will be responsible conducting project-specific tasks in Relativity (including documentation management and quality control, running reports and creating custom searches). You will also support the development and implementation of the e-discovery strategy and procedures by delivering Relativity training, supporting process improvement initiatives and creating and updating databases.

You will also be responsible for supporting with the presentation and disclosure of evidence, preparing electronic bundles and hearing materials, and uploading electronic data to hearing presentation and document management software.

The successful post-holder will have strong experience supporting large-scale investigations with expert knowledge of Relativity and/or E-discovery (ideally having worked on another Public Inquiry).

You will have advanced skills in MS Excel, the ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels and to tailor technical discussions accordingly, as well as a willingness to quickly develop technical skills to support document management processes. Ideally, you will have experience in the design and development of bespoke workflows

It is an exciting opportunity to add strong value to a high-profile Inquiry, while making a difference and inputting to public interest. Due to the sensitive nature of the work, you will be expected to attend the London Office 5 days per week, hold or be eligible to apply for Security Check (SC) clearance, and have 5 years consecutive residency in the UK

Job Title: Paralegal (Relativity Lead)

Location: Central London (Fully On Site)

Daily Rate: £180 - £200 (Umbrella)

Job Type: Temporary (24 months, potential extension)

Hours: Full-Time

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct project-specific tasks in Relativity (including processing, uploading, editing and running search term reports, creating custom searches, batching, reviewing, logging, and quality control)
  • Support the development and implementation of the Inquiry's e-discovery strategy and procedures
  • Upskill and deliver Relativity training to the paralegal team, solicitors and counsel team members
  • Support internal process improvement initiatives
  • Assisting and supporting solicitors and the legal teams with the presentation and disclosure of evidence
  • Creating and updating databases for the Inquiry
  • Preparation of electronic legal bundles and hearing materials
  • Upload of electronic data to hearing presentation and document management software
  • Liaison with external stakeholders and their Technical teams
  • Attending stakeholder meetings offsite
  • General tasks to assist with the Inquiry as required, such as preparing for and supporting hearings, financial controls and supporting the record management for the Inquiry

Person Specification

  • Strong experience within investigations and Relativity (with demonstrable legal and e-discovery industry experience)
  • Demonstrable advanced skills in MS Excel
  • Proven ability to work at pace, delivering high quality results in line with business needs
  • A willingness to develop quickly technical skills to support the Inquiry in its document management processes
  • The ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels and to tailor technical discussions accordingly
  • RCA designation is preferred
  • Experience in the design and development of bespoke workflows in line with business requirements is preferred
