Job description
We have a current opportunity for a caretaker on a temporary basis. The position will be based in Surrey. For further information about this position please apply.
- Responsible for the security of the campus buildings and assisting with the management of issuing and collection of keys, appropriate use of the software system for cards and any other access control systems. Ensuring all appropriate records are kept up to date and carry out lock repairs, installations and replacement as required.
- Providing goods inwards and outwards service including processing internal and external deliveries and delivering as required.
- Ensure that CCTV equipment, intruder alarms, fire alarm system and any other related equipment/systems are fully operational and report any issues to the AFM.
- Ensure that weekly fire tests, drills and evacuations are carried out and recorded.
- Acting as Health & Safety Responsible Person for low risk areas outside core working hours, i.e. before 9am and after 5:15pm.
- Carry out any appropriate Health & Safety duties as required by the Estates & Facilities department and the University's Policies and Procedures, including incident reporting.
- Required to undertake on-call duties on a rota basis.
£16 - £18 PH
