A key member of the Essentia Fire Safety team, contributing fully to the strategic management of the Trust and ensuring that fire strategies and policies are consistent with these and that building and technical compliance is met.
The post-holder has Accountability and responsibility for ensuring the Trust is compliant for all fire life safety legal and statutory requirements in accordance with all specifications within the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005, Health Technical Health Memorandums (DHS) Guidelines and all other regulations under current codes of practice that are addressed across a highly complex and multi-site organisation.
To be the operational lead for fire life safety/risk and governance and to chair local meetings ensuring risk registers are updated and local actions allocated and managed.
The post holder is accountable as the Trust\'s lead expert for fire safety providing professional expertise, technical leadership for all estates staff, directors, and senior managers of the organisation and advice external 3rd party agencies where appropriate on all current fire safety legislation and RRO.
The post holder is accountable to lead, provide expert specialist and professional fire information service for all capital projects, provide advice to other clients/partners, directors and senior management of the trust.
The post holder is responsible in developing and leading on policies, strategies and for implementation of the Trusts\' fire compliance annual mandatory programme. To continually improve reporting systems in order to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
The post holder is responsible for the effectiveness of comprehensive fire safety training programme, for all types of staff at all levels in the Trust.
The post holder shall carry out financial and budgetary responsibilities as part of the fire safety team senior management.
The post holder is responsible for HR, Line management of staff, training.
The post holder shall carry out R&D projects for the Head of fire safety.
The post holder is responsible for carrying out audits of buildings, equipment, and training.
The post holder is responsible for planning future development of audits, training, and assessment programs
The post-holder is responsible for providing a governance framework and processes and procedures to ensure buildings are safe and compliant and that buildings can be managed in a safe and compliant manner
The post holder will work with space team, clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure provision of the safest possible patient and staff experience and service delivery.
The post holder will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance of all sites
Responsible as lead and to ensure the effective provision of fire life safety compliance to Trust sites within the available resources, whilst maintaining and continuing to improve fire life safety of sites where Trust services are provided from.
The post holder has the overarching responsibility for all statutory and HTM compliance, for the management of Fire life safety.
The post holder will also provide a structure and process for the effective interface with all project activities to ensure that appropriate communications, safety arrangements and operating procedures are in place, are timely and effective.
Manage and implement a compliance management system, allowing clear KPI measurement of all statutory standards reporting directly to the Trust Board.
Manage the Trust risk register relating to compliance of building occupation ensuring that all risks are identified and plans being managed to mitigate risks.
