Floating Support Worker

Location: Redbridge

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in people's lives? We are looking for a Floating Support Worker in the Redbridge area to join our clients team. The service provides vital housing-related support to clients with diverse needs, ensuring they can maintain and sustain their tenancies.

Position Details:

• Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Core Hours: 10 AM - 4 PM
• Flexible Hours: 9 AM - 5 PM
• Duration: Initial 3-month cover with the possibility of extension

Key Responsibilities:

As a Floating Support Worker, you will be expected to:

1. Client Support: Hold a caseload of up to 25 key clients, conducting regular key working sessions leading to SMART Support Plans
2. Assessments: Complete comprehensive needs and risk assessments
3. Referral Management: Assess referrals to ensure they meet the criteria and accept suitable clients
4. Collaboration: Work closely with Redbridge Council, estate agencies, landlords, and external support services to ensure clients are appropriately housed
5. Safeguarding: Identify, report, and follow up on any safeguarding concerns
6. Case Reviews: Arrange and conduct client-led formal case reviews, predominantly in the community
7. Partnerships: Collaborate with other departments and external community agencies to assess and meet client needs
8. Independence Preparation: Assist clients in identifying activities that prepare them for independence and help them access these activities both internally and externally
9. Group Activities: Organise and participate in activities or small groups to address identified client needs or as part of a wider program of group work
10. Employment and Training Support: Assist clients ready to move into work, education, or training by helping them access suitable courses or placements
