Complex Needs Project Worker

Location: Kings Cross Area

Join our clients team as a Complex Needs Project Worker and make a positive impact in the lives of individuals facing multiple disadvantages, including homelessness and complex needs. This role serves as a stepping stone towards independent living.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Caseload Management: Hold a caseload of 8 key clients, conducting regular key working sessions to develop person-centered, trauma-informed Support Plans that foster progression
  • Assessments: Conduct comprehensive risk and needs assessments, utilising specialised knowledge in substance use, mental health, and other relevant areas to contribute to effective risk assessment and management
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments and external agencies to ensure clients' needs are assessed and addressed appropriately, facilitating access to relevant services
  • Income Maximisation: Ensure key clients' income is maximised by assisting in benefit access, providing support for budgeting skills, and facilitating the setup of bank accounts
  • Operational Efficiency: Prepare void rooms efficiently within agreed target times, process referrals by conducting initial needs assessments and interviews, and promptly address room and building checks, reporting and following up on hazards, repairs, and maintenance issues
  • Peer Support: Support client peers in making recovery visible within the schemes and co-deliver activities where appropriate
  • Transitional Support: Assist clients in transition to work, education, or training by facilitating access to suitable courses or placements

Position Details:

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Sunday (rotational basis, 8AM - 8PM, 12.5-hour shifts)
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Cover Duration: Approximately 5-6 months
