3rd Line Support Engineer

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced 3rd Line Support Engineer to join my client, a Housing Association, on a 3 - 6 month contract.

You will be providing both 2nd and 3rd Line Support across the organisation, ensuring high levels of customer service is provided and all tickets are seen to and actioned appropriately.

This is a 3-6 month contract, paying between £250 and £300 per day, 5 days in the office based in Enfield.

Responsibilities as a 3rd Line Support Engineer

• Providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders
• Assisting with IT service desk tasks
• Owning and resolving customer issues
• Researching and diagnosing technical problems
• Monitoring server systems and infrastructure
• Coordinating installations, upgrades, and maintenance
• Remaining up to date on technological advances

Day-to-day activities involve:

• Troubleshooting hardware/software issues
• Conducting onsite visits
• Taking on small projects
• Monitoring operations and infrastructure

Required skills/experience:

• 2nd/3rd line service desk background
• Diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
• Microsoft server/networking expertise
• Administration of AD, Exchange, backups, etc.
• Knowledge of firewalls, networking, VLANs, WAN/LAN
• Valid UK driver's license with Car

Desirable qualifications:

• VMware vCenter experience
• Microsoft Defender skills
• Microsoft certifications
• Exchange server maintenance
• Project management background
• VoIP/telephony knowledge
• Networking and virtualization fundamentals
• Infrastructure skills

As mentioned, this is a 3 - 6 month contract, for a Housing Association working with communities around London. Paying between £250 and £300 per day, 5 days in the offices based in Enfield (occasional travel to other sites in London when required).
