Job description
Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for UCL, who require an AV Support Officer on a 6 month contract.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line support to staff and students
- Offer field, phone and remote based support of the university's Managed Desktop, desktops/laptops, mobile devices, networking equipment, audio visual equipment, multimedia equipment, video conferencing, specialist equipment.
- Provide mentoring, training, and support to 2nd line support team members
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line remote technical support for managed IT/Network/AV/VC hardware and software
- Plan and carry out AV installation
- Undertake deskside customer support
- Manage and support of assigned zones
- Provide support to virtual teams within ISD
- Provide training & support to colleagues across ISD
Role Requirements
Have a deep and broad understanding in the following areas-
- Audio Visual fundamentals
- Signal processing, switching and distribution
- Fundamentals of cabling conventions, standards and their applications
- Crestron programming
- Lecture capture equipment and software such as Echo 360
- Knowledge of Video Conferencing, IP H323 coded and ISDN H320 codec
- IT Hardware including laptops, desktops, tablets and mobile devices
- Managed Desktop Services using Microsoft Windows, SCCM, Appsense and Ivanti
- Project managing small projects
Role Details
- UCL East primarily with occasional cover in Bloomsbury as and when required
- 5 days a week in the office
- £300-£350 per day
- Inside IR35
- 6 month contract
