Morgan Hunt are seeking a highly skilled Senior Endpoint Solutions Engineer to lead the development and management of services contributing to a Windows Supported Desktop environment for our Public Sector client based in Edinburgh. Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development, management, and support of infrastructure services underpinning our Windows Supported Desktop. Prioritising security while enabling remote and on-demand installation of operating systems, applications, and configurations.

Operate as the Service Operations Manager when needed to ensure seamless operations and empower our users. Collaborate with other service leads for staff management, recruitment, reviews, and development.

Provide expert technical support to our computing officers, fostering a culture of creativity, exploration, and problem-solving. Create effective technical documentation for knowledge sharing.

Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, security standards, and compliance regulations. Propose enhancements to optimise performance, security, and user experience.

Build strong networks both internally and externally to stay at the forefront of technological advancements and educational innovation. Collaborate with various teams and engage with technical support desks of major hardware and software suppliers.

Skills for Success:

• Specialist knowledge of Large-Scale Endpoint Management such as Microsoft Systems Centre (SCCM) is essential.
• Extensive knowledge of networking technologies, PowerShell scripting, Registry, WMI, and / or other related management and automation tools.
• Deep understanding of desktop security principles and experience implementing security measures.
• Working understanding of database systems and familiarity with application (re-) packaging techniques (APP-V, MSI...) is advantageous.
