Morgan Hunt is delighted to be supporting our Public Sector client recruit an experienced Procurement Officer. This role will form part of a new team working on a major ICT project.
The successful candidate will provide expert specialist procurement advice and guidance to suppliers, client departments, colleagues and external stakeholders.
The role:
- Guide and supervise project team members in the delivery of tenders within the Public Procurement Landscape
- Contract and supplier management
- Project manage a high volume of high value complex tendering activities
- Ensure contracts are best value for money
The requirements:
- Public Sector Procurement experience
- Experience in the delivery of medium to high value ICT projects
- Project management skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing including the development of procurement strategies for Goods/Services & Works
