Job Description

Morgan Hunt are recruiting a joiner for a client in Ayrshire. The role begins immediately and involves planned and reactive maintenance in the social housing stock that our client looks after.

Candidates must:

  • Be time served, with a copy of qualifications
  • Have a driving license
  • Have their own tools
  • Have experience in domestic works

The role is 37 hours per week Monday to Friday.

£22 per hour.

Weekly pay.

Temp ongoing contract.

    The Role

    • Responsible for providing guidance on design and technical issues.
    • Develop designs, to ensure an exemplary solution is delivered that meets quality parameters, project timelines and budgetary requirements.
    • Coordinates design intent with other disciplines.
    • Integrates engineering requirements, site surveys and field review information, adhering to applicable codes and jurisdictional requirements.
    • Prepares design reports, drawings and models following office standards.
    • Performs site visitations to determine compliance with construction documents; identifies any deviations and liaises with owner and contactor to resolve issues in a timely manner.
    • Reviews project products, services, and shop drawings to ensure adherence to project documents, relevant jurisdictional codes and corporate quality controls.



    Qualifications/Experience

    • ARB registered Architect.
    • Experience in the Defence or Education sector is key.
    • Experience in designing and running your own jobs.
    • A strong team player willing to participate in business growth by maximising opportunities and being willing and able to support junior members.
    • Knowledge of Scottish and English Building regulations would be beneficial.

  • Plumber - Bathroom Fitter

    Morgan Hunt are recruiting a Plumber who has extensive experience in Bathroom Fitting for long term work in Edinburgh. You will be working with a large maintenance organisation to upgrade social housing stock, fitting new bathrooms and being responsible for plumbing repairs.

    You will be;

    • A qualified Plumber (with proof of Qualifications)
    • Experience in Bathroom Fitting
    • Proficient in all aspects of Plumbing

    You will be working 40 hours per week, contract will run until April for the right candidate.

  • HGV Driver
    Up to £12.50 per hour plus standby, overtime rates

    Morgan Hunt is currently seeking HGV Drivers for an ongoing contract across Moray. This position is based around Elgin area. In order to be successful for this role, You will be required to have a class 2 licence, Cpc and Taco Digi Card.

    These contracts will be long term for a minimum of 4 months with an Immediate start.

    Your role will be expected to do HGV Driving of a class 2 vehicle for winter maintenance work. The operatives generally work on a rota basis, They will be undertaking a variety of road maintenance tasks as well as driving gritters. There could be the opportunity for a permanent job at the end of the season for the right person.

    There is a great opportunity to earn overtime and decent standby payments. Overtime is all dictated by the weather.
