Where there is a requirement to work sleepover shifts, you will earn an extra £84.80 for each shift worked!
We work a 37-hour working week, not a 40-hour week. In addition, we pay you for your work travel time and the costs for public transport or if you have a car, we pay 45p per mile, so you are not out of pocket.
Our services in Dumfries & Galloway are well regarded and we have a waiting list for people to be supported by us. Why, because we retrain our staff and have numerous benefits including full sick pay, not just SSP, which increases with length of service. In addition, as one of our Support Practitioners, you will have 35 days every year as holidays/public holidays.
Dumfries & Galloway Service
Provides support to vulnerable adults with learning and physical disabilities alongside other lifelong conditions. Our service principal is to promote independence, choice and to work with the people we support to enable them to lead the life they choose. We support people to access everyday life experiences including holidays, education, employment and social activities as well as providing support to sustain and develop relationships alongside skills for everyday living including budgeting, personal care and domestic skills for the person to maintain their own home.
The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members.
No previous working experience is needed; full training will be provided to you. We believe having the right values of respect, compassion, inclusion and integrity is all you need to join our team! We would offer you full support in completing your application.
As a Support Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.

Under the annual NHS Standard Contract and Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 the post holder is responsible for ensuring the Trust meets all the required health & safety management arrangements.
The post holder will identify trends and analyse underlying factors in order to reduce the number of safety related incidents. Outcomes of investigations and incidents to be reported to the Health and Safety Committee and escalated through the assurance process to bring high risk issues to the attention of the Trust Board,
As Health and Safety Manager you will:
Lead on the advice and support for managers to comply with their health and safety legal responsibilities.
Be the lead point of contact with the Health and Safety Executive Inspectors in terms of actioning any enforcement notice recommendations, challenging and interpreting enforcement action and ensuring any such recommended actions are implemented across the Trust in a timely and robust manner.
Have excellent judgement skills to formulate solutions to gaps identified in the health and safety planning process, making recommendations for the best course of remedial action where necessary.
Develop long term strategic plans for safety issues which impact across all services requiring support from the Executive Team.

Reporting to the Director of Estates and Facilities you will have responsibility for the Estates Operations and Asset Management functions across Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. You will act as
senior leader and line manager for the Estates and Facilities Department, having overall responsibility for property, estates, construction and maintenance.

The successful post holder will be responsible for the planning and delivery of estate and capital schemes to ensure the delivery of high quality health care, value for money and efficiency in use of resources.

Restore Practitioners are our key frontline residential staff at Oasis Restore, the first Secure Academy Trust in England to educate children in custody. The school is all year-round, offering 24/7 integrated and therapeutically informed education, health and social care, and is due to open its doors to children in Spring 2024.

Restore Practitioners will build and model healthy and trusting relationships with children that enable them to feel safe, learn and reach their full potential.
Your role as a Restore Practitioner is a commitment to improving the outcomes of vulnerable children through bringing your dedication, energy, warmth, resilience, and skills to their care. Restore Practitioners will work in teams based in each of the 12 residential flats at Oasis Restore, taking primary responsibility for the children living in this flat and working within an inter-disciplinary team around each child.
You will benefit from a comprehensive system of training, supervision and reflective practice designed to empower you in your work individually and as a team, allowing you to connect with colleagues about your experience of the work to enable you to give your best and effectively support children and meet their needs. You will work within a team which includes experienced social care managers and therapists as well as working with teaching staff to support the children’s engagement in education and wider school activities. You will play an active role in the school’s enrichment programme, delivering sessions which promote the development of the whole child.
