Morgan Hunt are working on an exclusive basis with Hanover Scotland to recruit a Head of IT/ Head of Digital. Hanover has been housing and supporting people in Scotland for more than forty years.
Their core purpose is to help older people feel safe and secure at home and to live fulfilling and independent lives. They provide and manage a wide range of housing and services, mainly for older people, currently manage more than 5,000 homes throughout Scotland. They provide a range of housing and tenure types to meet the different support needs of older people, allowing them to retain their independence within a local community and enjoy as much privacy or company as they wish.
The role of the Head of Digital at Hanover Scotland is pivotal in shaping the organisation\'s digital landscape to align with its vision, values, and social purpose. This senior leadership position entails spearheading the digital strategy, managing the digital team, and ensuring the efficient operation of digital services and technology for both staff and customers. Collaboration within the senior management team is essential to achieve the overarching goal of delivering exceptional outcomes for customers.
Key Result Areas / Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning:
Develop and lead the execution of Hanover Scotland\'s digital plan, coordinating closely with the digital team to implement changes, upgrades, and new systems.
Collaborate with executive and senior management to modernise and digitize services, leveraging technology to enhance customer experiences.
Create a vision for digital care and support services, particularly focusing on vulnerable tenants and independent living solutions.
Governance, Risk, and Compliance:
Provide strategic assurance to the Executive Team and board regarding the suitability of the digital plan in achieving business objectives.
Establish and maintain robust security measures, including disaster recovery plans and cyber accreditation.
Collaborate with auditors and external organizations to ensure compliance and scrutiny of responsibilities.
Stakeholder Management:
Foster and evaluate relationships with key suppliers, ensuring service levels meet business requirements and contractual obligations.
Manage procurement and tender processes, optimizing ICT resource allocation.
Align supplier performance with sourcing strategies, balancing costs and service quality.
Change Implementation:
Implement a framework for managing a portfolio of projects and activities that support business strategies and the digital program.
Collaborate with business managers and suppliers to identify and implement system changes that improve user experiences and service outcomes.
Technology Management:
Deliver high-quality digital services covering infrastructure, security, data protection, telephony, and software support.
Establish and maintain best practices (e.g., ITIL) tailored for Hanover Scotland to ensure effective team capabilities and exceptional customer service.
Monitor and control budgets related to areas of responsibility.
People Management:
Lead, inspire, and support colleagues and users in adopting digital technology, utilizing analytics to identify training needs.
Provide motivational leadership to the digital team, promoting clarity, effective communication, and professional development.
Oversee personnel issues and represent the organization at external events, positively impacting its profile in the sector.
Key Relationships - Internal & External:
Internally, collaborate closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Finance Team, and HR Team to ensure budget control, onboarding/offboarding processes, and technology-driven objectives.
Externally, engage with system providers, service providers, consultants, internal auditors, benchmarking organizations, and other industry bodies to ensure effective digital operations and best practices.
Experience Experience Required:
Essential: Extensive ICT/Digital leadership experience in a similar-sized organisation, senior organizational level experience, change management expertise, budget management skills.

Rate: £17-£20 per Hour
