HR Administrator - Nottingham

We have an exciting opportunity available for a HR Administrator to join a well-established Charity based in Nottingham NG1.

This is a Permanent position, 37 hours per week, paying up to £23,000 p.a

Role HR Administrator

  • Generalist HR Administration including Salary Changes - Changes to contracts/T&Cs - prepare documents relating to formal meetings.
  • Process the monthly payroll from start to end, with support from the Senior HR Officer.
  • Ensure any changes to employment contract, including starters and leavers, which affect monthly payroll are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare monthly sickness absence reports and inform employee of any changes to sick pay entitlement.
  • Recruitment - write and place adverts, create application packs for vacancies, work with outside agencies, assist with job interviews, liaise with the line manager and candidate throughout the process.
  • Obtain employment references and carry out DBS checks. Issue contracts of employment, Issue new starter paperwork, liaise with Line Manager to set up IT Network systems access.
  • First point of contact for L&D enquiries, provide Administrative support for L&D activities, including inductions, mandatory training.

Skills and Experience

  • Formal HR Qualification (Desirable)
  • Working knowledge and understanding of payroll processes with the ability to prepare and resolve payroll queries and liaise with external payroll service provider (NI and tax calculations not required)
  • Experience of carrying out HR administration including processing sickness and leave records.
  • Ability to carry out recruitment and induction administration.
  • A DBS will be required for this role.
