The Executive Services team provide professional, executive level assistance and support to members of the University’s Executive Board (“UEB”), the senior leaders of the University. You will provide professional, executive level assistance and support to a member of UEB and have management responsibilities within the Executive Services team.
You will be responsible for providing advanced executive support. This will include independently managing strategic level meetings and events, complex relationship management, drafting a wide range of correspondence; reports, presentations and documents. In addition, you will provide executive support around diary, inbox and travel management to a member of UEB,

You will join a collaborative, agile and professional environment where you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Vice-Chancellor and other members of the University’s Executive Board. These roles will be individually assigned to either support the Vice Chancellor, Professor Kathryn Mitchell CBE DL, or one of the two other most senior academic leaders at the University; Professor Keith McLay (Provost – Learning & Teaching) and Professor Warren Manning (Provost – Innovation & Research).

About the role
We are looking to recruit engineering teachers (Instructor Mentor) to join the apprenticeship team at Buxton & Leek College part of the University of Derby. We welcome applications from candidates with engineering industry experience looking to start a career in teaching. You will be expected to teach on the EAL Level 3 courses, there are several different pathways which we offer as part of the Engineering Technicians Apprenticeship at Nuclear Skills Academy based in Derby.
We are looking for the following:
The role of an Instructor/Mentor is to teach the Rolls Royce apprentices the practical skills needed, visit them onsite at the Ihub based in Derby and complete workplace reviews. You must also mentor apprentices to succeed and review their performance with them.
The successful candidate will need to hold a relevant teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one. We can offer support to those looking to start their careers in teaching, together with a Mechanical Engineering vocational qualification at Level 3 and Level 4 or higher. You should have demonstrable experience of the Engineering industry. If you have an assessor and/or verifier award this would also be considered.

Additional Information
This role is a full-time position of 37 hours a week, however we would welcome applications from candidates who wish to be considered for a job share. Job Title: Trainee Project Coordinator

The Trainee Project Coordinator is an integral part of the union and reports directly to the Head of Community Learn. The Trainee Project Coordinator will work as part of a team engaging Community members and expanding the union’s presence in the community. The role will involve shaping and supporting the coordination of regional campaigns in line with national initiatives, seek to recruit and organise members within new organisations including community groups, charity organisations, religious groups, and branches. The Trainee Project Coordinator will also oversee administration and delivery of learning services in supporting Community Learn in advancing the learning aims of the union.

This role is employed by University of Derby but works in partnership with Rolls-Royce Submarines Ltd. Due to the nature of work that Rolls-Royce Submarines Ltd conducts and the protection of certain assets, some roles within the Nuclear Skills Academy (NSA) require post-holders to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance.
This role does not currently require SC clearance, and this will not be a condition of appointment to this role. About the role
We are looking to recruit an Engineering Lecturer with an Electrical/Electronics background to join the apprenticeship team at Buxton & Leek College part of the University of Derby. We welcome applications from candidates with engineering industry experience looking to start a career in teaching. You will be expected to teach the Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard at the Nuclear Skills Academy based in Derby.
The successful applicant will be required to prepare, deliver, demonstrate, review, track & monitor and assess various aspects of the apprenticeship to Rolls Royce apprentices.
The successful candidate will need to hold a relevant teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one. We can offer support to those looking to start their careers in teaching who have an Engineering degree or professional qualification in Mechatronics or equivalent qualification.
You should have demonstrable experience of the Engineering industry. If you have an assessor and/or verifier award this would also be considered.
On appointment the job title for this position will be FE Lecturer in Mechatronics Engineering.
