Job Title: Homeless Housing Officer
Job Type: Temporary
Location: Coventry - Travel Is required

The organisation
In this Homeless Housing Officer opportunity in Coventry, you will join charity helping vulnerable adults, gain access to temporary accommodation as a result of being homeless The role Is to help customers manage their own money accordingly to maintain their tenancy longer term .
Key responsibilities
In this Homeless Housing Officer job, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting customers with housing support - applying for housing benefits / universal credit
- Dealing with rent arras / evictions when needed / service charge
- Encouraging customers to sustain a long term tenancy at the end of their stay - helping them apply for jobs / getting back Into college / learning how to budget appropriately
- Carrying out routine health and safety / well-being checks
- Also helping signpost to other agencies to help with mental health / substance misuse / domestic violence
Skills & experience of a Homeless Housing Officer
Proven track record of working within supported housing / homelessness
Able to work flexibly over 8am-8pm during the week
A valid DBS child and adult cleared Issued within 12 months or on the update service
