Recruitment Partner - Birmingham

We have an exciting Interim opportunity available for a Recruitment Partner to join a Regulatory Body based in Birmingham.

This is a 6month contract, to start immediately, salary £37,000 FTE. Hybrid working 1 day a week in the office.

The role - Recruitment Partner

  • Own and manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for your business areas,
  • Work with People Partners and business stakeholders to understand short, medium, and long-term talent requirements.
  • Work on attraction and selection strategies and building talent pipelines to meet the capability needs for your business areas.
  • Collect and interpret data to inform strategies and to make recommendations for improvements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert providing advice and guidance to line managers and the resourcing team across all areas of talent acquisition.
  • Support the delivery of early careers resourcing strategy (graduates) Manage the early careers talent cycle from attraction and selection through to onboarding and ongoing development.
  • Work as part of the team to develop succession planning and talent management frameworks.

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge

  • Experience of overseeing and being accountable for, multiple recruitment campaigns.
  • Managing the full vacancy life cycle through advertising, selection and offer stages, in partnership with vacancy holders.
  • Experience of delivering in a process orientated recruitment cycle, using Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Experience of designing and delivering attraction and selection strategies
  • Experience of improving talent acquisition processes or similar projects
  • Experience of working to best practice and compliance within regulated recruitment processes.
  • Experience of leading complex projects and managing varied stakeholders.

    Main duties and responsibilities

    ·         Achieve set financial and chargeable hours targets

    ·         Deal with own hearings

    ·         Attend NHS Trusts to seek witness statements

    ·         Ensure relevant deadlines, quality measures and KPIs are adhered to

    ·         Comply with relevant policies and procedures

    About You

    You will be a qualified solicitor, 2-3YR PQE. As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks. We also require you to have/be:

    • Clinical negligence experience
    • Previous NHS Resolution clinical defendant experience preferable

    • Knowledge of CPR procedure with proven technical ability

    • Ability to work to strict deadlines and timescales

    • To work as part of a team and on own initiative

  • Motor Fast Track /Small Claims Paralegal

    Accidents involving motor vehicles give rise to countless claims and legal actions, affecting every kind of business and non-commercial organisation and their insurers. The sheer volume of cases, and the constant possibility of major costs and resources being involved, can impact seriously on the operational performance of any of the parties involved.

    What is needed most in this situation is a service that can help process cases with maximum speed and efficiency and achieve the most satisfactory settlements possible. Weightmans' Motor team is a market leader in this field offering a full service with dedicated teams dealing with fast track, multi track, fraud, credit hire, indemnity issues and representation at inquests and criminal prosecutions.

    We are currently recruiting for a Paralegal to manage a caseload of motor cases for the fast track and small claims team in Liverpool or Manchester

    Main duties and responsibilities

    • Manage caseload effectively and efficiently
    • Initially review liability, quantum and Claimant Solicitor conduct before devising a strategy for continued handling;
    • Handle cases to conclusion including instructing investigators, posing Part 35 questions, instructing Counsel and making Part 36 offers;
    • Complete client and firm MI procedures
    • Comply with client SLAs, e-manual and local claims handling requirements
    • Achieve set chargeable hours and financial targets
    • Comply with Data Protection Procedures

    About You

    • Experience of handling/assisting a case load of litigated motor files, within the small claims and fast track, preferably as a Defendant
    • Knowledge of CPR
    • Ability to work to meet deadlines and hit targets
    • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
    • Excellent communication skills

  • HR Administrator

    HR Administrator - Birmingham

    We have an exciting Temporary opportunity available for a Part Time HR Administrator to join a Regulatory Body based in Birmingham. Part time hours 20-24 hours per week, paying between £12 - £13 per hour, hybrid working.

    Role

    HR Administrator will play a key role in assisting the People Hub.

    • Responding to queries from the email inbox
    • Helping to making changes to HR records and resetting passwords.
    • Setting up new starters on HR and Appraised
    • Scheduling meetings (i.e., booking and setting up rooms)
    • Supporting self-service issues/ Maintenance
    • Administering the provision of payslips and staff recognition vouchers
    • Help maintain records.
    • Processing purchase orders and invoices for the team 

    Experience and Knowledge

    • A minimum of 12 months experience working in an Administration role
    • Experience of working with managers
    • Experience of using systems and processes
