Job description
We have a current opportunity for a Care Coordinator - Substance Misuse on a temporary basis. The position will be based in Walsall. For further information about this position please apply.
Job Title: Substance Misuse Care Coordinator
Location: Walsall
Contract Type: Temporary 3-6 months
Hourly Rate: £12-£15 per hour depending upon experience
Key Responsibilities :
- Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey;
- Providing screening, assessment and recovery planning and onward referral;
- Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community;
- Promoting carer, service user and community involvement
- Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self determination.
Required Experience:
- Clear Enhanced DBS
- The ability to effectively engage with clients about their drug use through verbal and non-verbal means.
- An understanding of the complex needs experienced by those with a history of problematic alcohol or drug misuse.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures.
