Job Title: Family Support Worker
Job Type: Temporary
Location: Birmingham - Car driver essential

The organisation
In this Family Support Worker opportunity in Birmingham, you will join add a reputable organisation working with children between 5-18 years old living with a family member with a disability or illness.
Key responsibilities
In this Family Support Worker job, your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain effective partnership working with young carers, their parents and other agencies with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and working to assess, provide or co-ordinate support to young carers experiencing complex and multiple issues
- Facilitate and deliver support and interventions which improve the young carers personal, social and educational development
- Promote equality and the interests and welfare of young carers, achieving improved outcomes for the young carers and their families
- Maintain competent and ethical practice in the provision of the young carers service, supporting families experiencing complex and multiple issues
Skills & experience of Family Support Worker
- Worked In a similar role previously - preferably family support worker / social worker
- Car diver Is required for this role - will be covering whole of Birmingham area
- DBS Issued within the last 12 months or on the update service - child and adult cleared
- Available Immediately to January
