Job description
We have a current opportunity for a Substance Misuse Practitioner - Young People on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Bedford. For further information about this position please apply.
Job Title: Substance Misuse Practitioner - Children & Young people
Hours: Full time / 37 hours per week
Salary: Starting at £22,500 depending upon experience
Role: Community based - admin to be done from home ( occasional travel into the office for training / meetings )
Location: Bedfordshire MK42
Job Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice, screening, brief and comprehensive assessments with individuals & families
- Provide face to face appointments in the community ( schools, family centres, residential homes ) with young people suffering with issues related substance misuse
- Provide brief and longer-term structured interventions
- Develop & review care plans with service users
Required Experience
- Previous employment within a similar role
- Previous experience working with children / young people
- Driver and access to own vehicle
