We are currently seeking an Assessor in Electrical Installation to join our Apprenticeship Team.
Are you an experienced tradesperson in Electrical maintenance and installation?
Would you like to help our apprentices achieve their qualifications by assessing their skills in the workplace and helping them to complete their portfolios?

The main purpose of this role is to provide outstanding student experience through work based support and assessment, enabling our apprentices to maximise their full potential.
Within this role your main responsibilities will include maintaining effective employer relationships and working closely with our electrical apprentices and college tutors. This will mean monitoring the progress of the apprentices and motivating them to produce portfolio evidence and achieve their qualification by an agreed date.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant Electrical qualification and/or hold an assessor or verifier qualification - or be willing to work towards this. With an enthusiastic and engaging approach, you will have the ability to motivate apprentices and support them to achieve their full potential.

Training and Qualifications
Our experienced team of staff will guide you through the role and support you as you build up your experience with York College IT systems and Education and Skills Funding Agency guidelines.
If you do not have your assessor and verifier qualifications, we will fund the cost of your training.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure check and will need a full drivers licence to undertake this role.

Catering Assistant

Hours: 21 hours per week during term time 38 weeks per year.
The working pattern will be over 5 days Monday – Friday
Usual hours will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 10.30am – 2.30pm and Thursday 9.30am – 2.30pm. Flexibility is required around the demands of the business.
Salary: £10,794 per annum (i.e. £21,993 pro rata per annum). Plus benefits including a Generous Occupational Pension Scheme.

We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join the College’s busy commercial catering outlets. The role involves serving customers, till operation, food preparation, replenishing stock, and ensuring the equipment and premises are cleaned to a high standard. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while occasionally working under pressure to deliver food efficiently and on time, as part of a team, this is the role for you.
About the Person
We are looking for a great team player with a positive, can-do attitude, and a flexible approach to work. Experience of food preparation and working in a catering environment would be advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided. You should have a passion for delivering friendly and efficient customer service. Full uniform provided.
