Business Development Executive
Higher Technical Qualifications Promoter
£20 pound per hour- FULL TIME (37 hours per week) until end of March 2023

Morgan hunt are working with an FE college In South Yorkshire to find them a business development executive or Higher Technical qualifications promoter
This is someone that can reach out to local businesses and current contracted employers, as well as local schools and sixth forms promoting the further education college to give adult staff and students an opportunity to enrol and join on level 4 and 5 courses across engineering and health and science subjects- this is an exciting marketing and sales role.
The Role:
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working as part of the Higher Technical Education, Marketing and Projects teams, the post holder will be responsible for promoting Higher Technical Qualifications through effective Schools, business and other engagement.
- The role encompasses building sound relationships, developing a greater understanding of the HTQ curriculum opportunities.
- The postholder will demonstrate a proactive approach to engaging employers, schools and learners of varying sizes across a range of sectors and will contribute towards the HTQ learner enrolments.

Tasks and expectations
Within the South Yorkshire region to identify leads and opportunities and to convert that primary engagement to Higher technical qualifications (HTQ's).
- Responsibility for raising awareness of HTQs in the local area. This will include running events at local secondary schools and providing up-to-date careers education, information.
- Raising awareness of HTQ's in the local area with secondary schools. This will include running events at local secondary schools and providing paths to up-to-date careers education, information.
- Raising awareness of HTQ's in the local area with local employers, developing HTQ branding materials, including the development of digital brochures and mailing campaigns, and an on-line presence, running local employer and stakeholder events, working with employers to inform the ongoing development of HTQs and their associated skills and education system, and; working across the consortium to help coordinate employer engagement activity.
- Assist to facilitate the management of a regional system for advocating and coordinating higher technical education within the Doncaster region.
- Coordinating and developing existing employer partnerships
- Working with employers and across partners to support the ongoing development of ongoing higher-technical qualification (HTQ) mapping.
- Running focus groups with local employers to match regional skills needs to our HTQ curriculum.
- Engaging with regional initiatives (e.g., the South Yorkshire Skills Strategy).
- To maintain and develop professional long-term relationships with clients.
- To develop referrals through existing contacts, schools and business networks
- To work as part of a small business development team coordinating and carrying out marketing activities including business development
- To undertake such other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as may reasonably be required.
- To identify leads and opportunities and to convert that primary engagement to HTQ's,
- Uses a range of marketing techniques to engage with new clients and learners.
- Follows up enquiries within 48 hours
- Makes client visits to discuss client and Learner needs and identify appropriate solutions
- Plan and targets employers, schools and learners from agreed sectors
- Undertakes specific projects to identify and develop new HTQ opportunities
- To maintain and develop professional long term relationships with clients
- To develop referrals through existing contacts and business networks
- To work as part of a small business development team coordinating and carrying out marketing activities including business development
