We are looking for a Quality Governance Facilitator to join the divisional Integrated Care and Community Quality Team to support the delivery of Clinical Governance across the division.

The post holder will be responsible for providing practical support, expertise and facilitation to the clinical division across a wide range of patient safety and quality improvement activities. This will include supporting the Division's governance arrangements in accordance with patient safety, quality improvement programmes, complaints, patient and public involvement/ engagement, clinical audit and other relevant quality governance requirements.

Main duties of the job

To provide practical support, expertise and facilitation to the clinical division across a wide range of patient safety and quality improvement activities. This will include supporting the division's governance arrangements in accordance with patient safety, quality improvement programmes, complaints, patient and public involvement/ engagement, clinical audit and other relevant quality governance requirements

The post holder will develop and maintain inter-divisional relationships and with the central quality governance team to ensure that incidents are investigated in accordance with the relevant Trust policy and that learning is shared across the organisation where appropriate.

The post holder will work closely with the divisional senior team to identify and define the information needs in order to monitor clinical effectiveness, patient safety and quality outputs of the services provided

    Job summary

    An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Acute Occupational Therapy Team for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and forward thinking team. As senior Occupational Therapists you will work alongside OTs, OTas, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Discharge Planning Service as well as ward teams such as nurses and doctors to provide exceptional care. The role of an Acute Occupational Therapist is to provide specialist assessment and intervention to support the discharge planning process whilst utilising patient centered care.

    The Acute Occupational Therapy team cover the medical and surgical wards enabling therapists to gain skills across a range of specialties including: care of the elderly, oncology, palliative care, respiratory, cardiology, gastroenterology and urology.

    12 Month maternity cover. This is an excellent opportunity for either a current Band 6 to experience an acute setting, or a Band 5 looking for a challenge and to develop in a supportive and knowledgeable team.

    Main duties of the job

    • To be able to be proactive at delivering therapeutic interventions within a timely manner to enable patients to maintain their independence, identifying when patients would benefit from further rehabilitation and support services and to refer on to other services appropriately.
    • To provide clinical leadership and specialist advice, through the supervision, coaching and education, for less experienced occupational therapists, assistants, and students from a range of universities.

  • Band 8a Hard FM Maintenance Manager

    We have a current opportunity for a Band 8a Hard FM Maintenance Manager on a contract basis. The position will be based in Bristol.

    Band 8a Hard FM Maintenance Manager - Reporting to Associate Director of Estates. Progress and co-ordinate actions identified in the Hard FM compliance audit. Prepare monthly report to Trust Fire Improvement Group on progress made against the action plan. Actively support Estates Officers manage service contracts, contractors work activity in the servicing and repair of Trust Hard FM assets.

    Background of the 8a - Hard FM experience (E), project management experience (E), good communication (E), programme management (D), line management (D)

    It\'ll be typical working hours Monday to Friday 8-4, 9-5 kind of thing, based at the BRI - may be occasional site visits to Weston General Hospital but there\'s a staff bus, unlikely there will be routine remote working, standard DBS required

  • Health & Safety Manager

    We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our Trust. 

    Under the annual NHS Standard Contract and Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 the post holder is responsible for ensuring the Trust meets all the required health & safety management arrangements. 

    The post holder will identify trends and analyse underlying factors in order to reduce the number of safety related incidents. Outcomes of investigations and incidents to be reported to the Health and Safety Committee and escalated through the assurance process to bring high risk issues to the attention of the Trust Board,

    Main duties of the job

    As Health and Safety Manager you will:

    Lead on the advice and support for managers to comply with their health and safety legal responsibilities. 

    Be the lead point of contact with the Health and Safety Executive Inspectors in terms of actioning any enforcement notice recommendations, challenging and interpreting enforcement action and ensuring any such recommended actions are implemented across the Trust in a timely and robust manner.

    Have excellent judgement skills to formulate solutions to gaps identified in the health and safety planning process, making recommendations for the best course of remedial action where necessary.

    Develop long term strategic plans for safety issues which impact across all services requiring support from the Executive Team.
