Job description

Morgan Hunt are currently working with a Hospital based in Slough, in their search for General and Domestic Assistants/Cleaners. The role is an exciting opportunity for a domestic assistant who has experience within the Public and Health Sectors.

As a domestic assistant, you will help in carrying out scheduled daily cleaning tasks and provide a high standard of service. You will be responsible for ensuring all areas are kept clean and sanitary, as well as reporting any incidents or environmental concerns to the appropriate persons.

JOB 1

Job Title: Domestic Assistant/Cleaner

Location: Slough

Job Type: Temporary Ongoing

Hours: 37.5

Shifts: Mon-Fri, between 12:00 and 20:00 or 07:30 - 15:30

Start Date: ASAP

JOB 2

Job Title: Domestic Assistant/Cleaner

Location: Slough

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 37.5, 5 days over 7 including some weekends

Shifts: Mixture of early shifts (06:00 - 14:00) and lates (12:00 - 20:00) in a 4 week rotation

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a high standard of service to the site and maintain cleanliness in all areas.
  • Damp dusting
  • Using vacuum cleaners and other floor cleaning equipment
  • Cleaning toilets and bathroom areas
  • Cleaning kitchen areas
  • Cleaning other clinical areas and non-clinical area
  • Ensure the development and its buildings and common areas are professionally cleaned, well presented and maintained.
  • Daily tasks will include dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying bins and vacuuming of communal areas.
  • If required, disposal of rubbish in the designated rubbish collection area.
  • Ensure that all health and safety risks are identified and report any accidents, trips, spills, hazards or near misses as per the site procedures, to the development manager or assistant development manager.
  • Front entrances, communal stairways, corridors and passageways kept clean at all times.

Personal Specification

  • Previous experience in cleaning
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Able to travel and work unsocial hours
  • Standard DBS - we can process one if needed
  • Happy to work in a hospital environment with a close proximity to patients
  • No facial hair, piercings or jewellery
  • Flexibility with hours
