DUTY MANAGER ROLE AVAILABLE FOR HAMPTON POOL SWIMMING PROGRAMME

Job Purpose

The Duty Manager has operational responsibility whilst on shift for the day to day smooth running of the Hampton Pool. They will support the various work streams that operate within the pool to ensure that each work stream can effectively deliver their services. Whilst on shift they will ensure a high quality of service to customers through providing a welcoming environment and ensure customer enquiries are responded to. They will lead and motivate staff on duty, maintain high standards of water quality, health and safety, safeguarding and security of the site. The role requires shift responsibility and being a key holder to open up and lock the site and be 'on-call' as part of the Hampton Pool duty team rota. The role requires being flexible to work 'out of office hours' with availability at mornings, evenings, weekends and during events and call outs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Pool Operations

  • Assist Senior Managers in ensuring the effective, efficient and safe operation of the pool and achieve agreed targets and objectives.
  • Ensure that all persons arriving at the pool are welcomed, providing information on services / facilities available and for passing enquiries on to other mangers as appropriate.
  • Complete duty manager routine checks of the main public areas on a daily basis ensuring the pool is clean, tidy and risk free.
  • Complete all opening, change over and closing daily checklists are completed and that any maintenance issues/faults are reported to the General Manager and where possible rectified appropriately.
  • Complete daily pool chemical testing and recorded as nominated pool plant operator to maintain a high standard of pool water purity, undertaking regular pool checks and chemical balances.
  • Make routine checks of the main public areas ensuring they are welcoming to customers, clean, tidy and risk free.
  • Complete all opening, change over and closing daily procedure/checklists are completed and that any faults are reported and where possible rectified appropriately.
  • Ensure that the building is locked and secure at the end of shift and all monies have been put in the safe.
