Job description

Morgan Hunt is delighted to be working with a client in Edinburgh in their search for an Electrical Maintenance Officer to be based in Edinburgh.

Purpose of Post:

The Electrical Maintenance Engineering Officer will take lead and responsibility for the electrical maintenance and minor works programme across the client's estate.

Key Responsibilities: (but not limited to)

  • Manage the estate's PPM and reactive electrical maintenance.
  • Ensure the planning and delivery of an effective estate maintenance and minor works programme.
  • Monitor and manage the electrical installations delivered by the service provider and contractors across all the estate.
  • Develop and lead on minor works projects, asset registers, and backlog maintenance programmes of work for electrical services.
  • Reviewing and updating statutory compliance and business continuity risks are controlled
  • Developing the scope of electrical contracts
  • Be responsible for managing and maintaining a robust framework of condition surveys for electrical services, works programme information.
  • To be responsible for managing and maintaining updates to the integrated facilities management system.

Skills & Qualifications:


  • Educated to HND level, OR equivalent qualification/experience
  • Expert Knowledge and experience of electrical systems management
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and legislation
  • Qualified to the latest edition for electrical wiring installations, or equivalent experience
  • Proven relevant post-qualification experience in a range of computer-based software programmes
  • Experience in developing minor works projects, and maintenance programmes
