Employee Relations Manager

We have an exciting opportunity available for an Employee Relations Manager to join a well-established Housing Association based in Nottingham NG9. This is a Permanent position, offers hybrid working and a salary of £42,000 - £45,000.

The Employee Relations Manager will provide complex technical ER advice & guidance to the people team on a wide variety of employment related issues, such as case management activities and projects.

  • Collaborate and find solutions to complex ER related issues.
  • Own the Case Management Tracker and monitor the accuracy of the data inputted by the team.
  • Proactively use the data to analyse, track and report on ER trends and external influence
  • Proactively run and produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as required by the organisation.
  • Be an experienced technical escalation point for our People Advisors and Assistants in relation to all ER Cases.
  • Provide specialist knowledge on complex ER cases including and not limited to ACAS, ET and TUPE working closely with the relevant Head of People.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Strong knowledge and extensive HR Management.
  • ER experience in a complex, Unionised, customer-orientated, multi-disciplinary organisational environment.
  • Previous experience of providing advice to managers on complex and high-risk cases (end to end process).
  • An ability to handle difficult conversations, navigate complexities and disagreements maintaining neutrality in conflictual situations.
  • An ability to recommend actions based on policy and practice and maintain relations with key stakeholders.
  • In-depth proven knowledge of the underlying principles and practice of people management and employment law.
  • A commercial focus, able to operate credibly when assessing people-related risks.
  • CIPD qualification.
