Fire Surveyor

Up to £55,100 per annum

Summary

Our client, a large housing association based in London, is currently seeking a Fire Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out surveys across their extensive property portfolio, ensuring the safety and security of all residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out post inspections of completed works by contractors.
  • Carry out pre-inspections to validate FRAs if required.
  • Identify and evaluate potential fire hazards and risks, making recommendations for mitigating measures where required.
  • Write up detailed specifications.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate systems and procedures for managing fire safety, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on fire safety matters, including fire prevention, detection, and evacuation procedures.
  • Keep up to date with changes in legislation and best practice in fire safety.

About you

  • Experience surveying fire safety works within a housing association or similar industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations relating to fire safety.
  • Experience of contractor, stakeholder and resident relationship management.
  • A professional qualification in fire safety or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Effective communication and IT skills.
