Job Title: Governance and Facilities Officer

Job Type: Permanent Part Time

Location: London (flexible working arrangements)

Salary: £36,000 (Pro rata)

I am working with a prestigious housing provider in London who are looking for a 'Governance and Facilities Officer'. As a 'Governance and Facilities Officer' you will ensure the organisation complies with its outside regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures. The said organisation play a crucial role in empowering women by providing affordable housing to women fleeing domestic violence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage regulatory returns trackers and develop an appropriate process in regard to returns and accounts submissions for NROSH , Charity Commission, Companies House and Disposal Process Fund.
• Ensure the companies key documents are up to date and compliant including: Gifts and Hospitality Register, Fraud Register, Assets/Liabilities Register, Delegations and Authorities Matrix.
• Monitor and ensure updates are completed in a timely manner for organisational trackers.
• Prepare and complete information as necessary for requests including Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and Subject Access Requests.
• Assist the Governance Manager in maintaining the key registers - Policy, Contracts and Risk.
• Carry out monitoring of internal processes and/or systems and outline risks and recommendations.
• Assist in dealing with low level breaches and maintaining the breach folder.
• Populate monthly organisational KPI's using system generated data as required within
• Collate manager and director commentary and circulate reports for review at key meetings.
• Act as a key contact point for our Insurers; produce clear guidelines of the insurance process insurance claims.
• Manage ongoing and new insurance claims and provide KPI's to the Governance Manager whilst completing any insurance renewals.

Essential Criteria

• Strong analysis skills, with ability to suggest and implement improvements.
• Knowledge of statutory/regulatory environment for UK charities.
• Proactive, problem-solving, practical attitude/approach; willing to be hands on.
• Comfortable and professional in situations that require high levels of confidentiality or sensitivity.
• Strong MS skills.

Excellent report writing skills.
